Dr. Marius Barbu

Dr. Marius Gheorge Barbu, received his Ph.D. from  Universitatea Babeş-Bolyai in Cluj Napoca (Romania). He is the main archaeologist at Museum of Dacian and Roman Civilization in Deva, Romania, and is one of the excavation directors at the Rapoltu Mare la Vie site. And also Sector manager (Roman Fort sector) at the Micia site (Hunedoara county). He has participated in over 60 archaeological excavations (mostly from the Roman era but also from the Dacian and prehistoric periods), and has authored of over 100 studies, articles and archaeology reports. He has a passion for historical re-enactments, and has been a member of the Terra Dacica Aeterna association, and has writtent he scripts for many reenactment shows on Roman Dacia.
