The GRAPE Team

Dr. Mindia Jalabadze is the Chief Curator — Department of Collection Management and Department of Precious Metals, Georgian National Museum and the co-Director of the Gadachrili Gora Excavations.

Ira Schwartz is a PhD candidate in the Anthropology department at the University of Toronto. He is currently the Assistant Field Director at Gadacrili Gora, and the Field Director at Azizkendi Tepe, a Late Chalcolithic period site in Georgia.

Dima is working as a research associate at the Georgian National Museum’s Institute of Archaeology since 2016 when became involved with the project GRAPE and then ARKK (Archaeological Research in Kvemo Kartli).

Dr. Natalia M. Handziuk holds a PhD from the Anthropology Department at the University of Toronto. She is a researcher on the Wādī Ziqlāb Archaeology Project (Jordan), the Expedition to the Dead Sea Plain (Jordan), and the Gadachrili Gora Regional Archaeology Project (Georgia).
